#### Community collaboration and investment in new spaces boosts local scene – and economy

Over the past decade or so, the Greater St. Cloud region has deliberately built one of central Minnesota’s most active live music scenes — not through a single big investment, but through a steady pattern of collaboration between local governments, civic organizations, and the private sector.

National acts, regional regulars, emerging artists and even hometown performers can all find a place to play. Likewise, local music lovers can choose between seeing chart-topping bands on a big stage or vibing to a solo artist with a guitar and a stool in a local park.

You can see (and hear) the results across the region every summer, from a free weekly concert series at a renovated city park in St. Cloud to a riverfront amphitheater in Sauk Rapids to a 5,000-seat quarry venue in Waite Park that draws national acts and sells out area hotels.

What connects these venues isn’t geography alone. It’s a shared approach: do the homework, build the partnerships, and invest in experiences that make people want to visit and live here.
