Moto Nutrition & Lisa’s Loft

Lisa's Loft & Moto Nutrition

When she lost her Mom and Uncle just 10 months apart six years ago, Amanda Fouquette-Strang realized there really is no time like the present. Combining her desire to spend more time with her two boys, honor her mom’s legacy, and breathe some life into downtown Foley, she opened Moto Nutrition and Lisa’s Loft in her hometown.

“I was born and raised here in Foley, MN,” shared Amanda. “I moved away for about 10 years and then did what many people with strong family ties do – I came home. Since then, I have gotten married and had two boys. We bought our building in downtown Foley for many reasons. I wanted to help bring some excitement to town - the way I remembered it as a kid. With that, I also wanted to spend more time with my kids and figure out a way to keep my Mother’s memory alive.”

My sons race motocross, which takes us all over the state and country. When I decided to make a business out of my love of nutritional shakes, teas, and socializing with others, we opened Moto Nutrition in the space, too. I love that we give people a chance to get out and see what they’re missing out on when they’re stuck behind a phone or computer.”

Community is important to Amanda – her tie to Foley brought her back to the area, and collaborating with others remains an important part of her business. “We work with other businesses to get people out and about. I’ve partnered with our local coffee shop, floral shop, and some of the athletic programs. Currently, we’re working with Big Brothers Big Sisters to help them promote their need for mentors. We are proud sponsors of the Foley Elementary School Fitness Fest in Foley, as well as local football and wrestling programs. We try to donate gift baskets to benefits and fundraisers whenever possible.”

“We’re hoping to do even more in the community to expand our Moto Nutrition services. We’d love to start setting up a stand at sporting events and giving back a portion of our sales there to the event or program – more to come!”

Although she opened Lisa’s Loft and Moto Nutrition in 2023, she feels supported despite her ‘young’ businesses. “Having people committed to helping us succeed is so appreciated. Community support and customer referrals help more than I can say. Plus, I love it when customers become friends!”
