St. Cloud Rotaract

St. Cloud Rotaract is a professional membership organization for emerging leaders in Central Minnesota. St. Cloud Rotaract members are dedicated professionals passionate about professional development, community service, and building goodwill. The local club, a subset of Rotary, was started in 2015. While they partner with the Rotary Club of St. Cloud periodically, they have independent decision-making and budgets to determine where they direct their efforts. With more than 8,500 clubs and 186,000 members worldwide, Rotaract is a service-based club that brings together local and international communities. Strong ethics guide the group, following the motto, “Service Above Self.”

“St. Cloud Rotaract’s target demographic of young professionals focuses on developing young adults as leaders in the community and workplace. Rotaract brings opportunities locally and internationally to impact communities,” shared current president, Nikki Bukowski. “Our group is open to all young professionals in Greater St. Cloud who are interested in giving back to the community, improving themselves professionally, and promoting goodwill and better friendships. ‘Rotaractors’ - as we refer to ourselves - are people who want to get involved and have a positive impact.”

“As a young professional organization, Rotaract members are typically at a critical time in their life where multiple life events such as family planning, job changes or relocation are taking place. As a membership-based club, we are continuously educating others about the value of giving back and developing themselves as a leader professionally. The best part of being in Rotaract is meeting other young professionals in the area who are committed to the success of themselves and the community. St. Cloud Rotaract has provided multiple opportunities for members to develop themselves as the up-and-coming leaders of the community.”

With an emphasis on community and goodwill, it’s no surprise that getting involved is a large part of how the group functions. “Our Rotaract club partners with the local Rotary in the St. Cloud area for community service and fundraising events. One of our most notable partnerships is with the Rotary Club of St. Cloud for their Summertime by George Series. We are very fortunate to have the support of multiple businesses for conducting our meetings, sponsorships for large events, and promoting Rotaract to young professionals in their workplace. The St. Cloud Rotaract has multiple supporters who we are very thankful for. Because of their encouragement and support, Rotaract has continued to grow and flourish.”

“The St. Cloud Rotaract is an amazing organization with engaging meetings with featured speakers, special outings, and service projects. Anyone interested in joining is welcome to attend our meetings, held the first and third Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Red Carpet Event Center.”
